Booking a hall in London: what you need to know

London is one of the most diverse and exciting cities in the world; offering a huge variety of spaces and venues for hire – both within London itself and further afield, within the realms of Greater London. And, with so much choice and variety available to you when booking a venue, it can be difficult to know even what to look for or how best to go about getting the most for your money. So, here, we’ll go through what to consider when booking a hall in London…

What to consider when booking a hall in London

Central isn’t always superior: Whilst the idea of booking an event venue in central London, or near!, for your fantastic event may seem like the most luxurious and glamorous option, generally, the closer you go to the centre of London, the more you’re likely to pay for less space.

It’s no secret that London can get expensive and, within this, space comes at a premium so – actually – it can make much more sense to search for larger, more affordable venues further outside of London that have good transport links into or near to the city.

What does the hire price include?: Something to consider when booking a hall anywhere, not only London, is what is included in the hire price – i.e does the hall hire price include:

  • Refreshments or the facilities to prepare & serve refreshments
  • Accessible toilets
  • Basic equipment such as chairs & tables or AV equipment
  • Post-event venue care

Although any combination of these things can, of course, drive the price of hiring a hall in London up, it can absolutely be worth paying that little bit more, depending on the type of the event you’re hosting.

Plan, plan, plan: The more you know about your event and everything that you need from a London hall for hire, the more accurate your quotes for hire will be and the more room you’ll have to explore all options available to you.

One of the very best things you can do when booking a hall in London, therefore, is to plan, plan, plan!

Consider school facilities: Schools are typically closely located to regular transport links, extremely affordable to hire, and very generous in size. And, although school facilities will probably not be the first things that come to mind when considering hall hire in London, the facilities offered for hire within schools are also incredibly versatile, meaning they can comfortably accommodate many people for a wide range of activities and events such as:

  • Birthday parties
  • Business meetings
  • Church group meetings
  • Fitness classes
  • Dance & drama classes
  • Conferences
  • Private tutoring sessions & language classes

And so much more!
