Here at Schoolhire Solutions Ltd., we’re proud to have created a truly exceptional team of dedicated, approachable, and knowledgeable venue professionals, committed to providing both hirers and schools with a positive and meaningful experience when hiring or letting the fantastic facilities schools have to offer.

Our strengths really do come from our people; all of our team members come to us with years, if not decades, of experience in the industry. 

One such team member is Simon, our highly experienced and extremely talented Venue Consultant, who manages a selection of our venues, including St Columba’s Catholic Boys’ School in Bexleyheath and Park House School in Newbury. 

Meet Simon, Venue Consultant

“I spent 25 years in the Ministry of Defence latterly as an HR Consultant on disciplinary, restoring efficiency issues and a trained harassment & bullying Investigator, following which I spent 10 years working for the largest school community lettings provider latterly as their Sales Director and member of the Senior Leadership Team.”

Roles and responsibilities at Schoolhire Solutions Ltd:

“I manage the Community Lettings Operations of 3 Secondary and 6 Primary Schools.

 Within this, I also oversee the recruitment and training of site staff, client school relationships and direct sales.”

A typical day at Schoolhire Solutions Ltd.:

“Really, everyday is different and the tasks and challenges faced on a daily basis depend on the unique needs of the schools, clients and hirers. 

However, everyday tends to involve a mix of emails, calls, customer and client meetings, with the occasional shift cover of an evening or weekend wherever needed.”

Proudest achievements:

“There are 2 achievements that come to mind when I think of my time at Schoolhire Solutions Ltd. and of what I am most proud: 

• Doubling the lettings income for Orchard Park High School in Croydon in the space of just 6 months. 
• The introduction of SELCATs 10 schools to Schoolhire Solutions Ltd.

I’m also proud to be working with and help grow Schoolhire Solutions’ client base and customers sales. It’s great to see the business grow and develop, and to play a real part in that.”
