Follow a day in the life of our Venue Administrator, Sinéad

In this new series, ‘A Day in the Life’, we’ll be following a handful of our fantastic employees; documenting what a typical working day looks like for different members of the Schoolhire Solutions Ltd. team. 

First in this series, we’re following Sinéad, our Venue Administrator. 

“The day always begins with a cup of tea!” says Sinéad. “Then checking emails, the bookings calendars; replying to client messages, and going over Site Assistants’ timetables. 

“No two days are the same! But, if I had to describe a ‘typical day’ for me, it would involve –

  • Dealing with existing and new booking enquiries
  • Liaising with partner schools and hirers
  • Planning Site Assistants’ schedules 
  • Arranging venue viewings
  • Answering general questions”

When asked to recall any stand out moments she’s particularly proud of during her time at Schoolhire Solutions Ltd., Sinead states:

“This job is full of mini-challenges and it is always a good feeling when you find solutions and when a client is happy, and knows that you have done your best for them.”

“If I could describe my role as a Venue Administrator in 5 words or less, it would be: 

  1. Organiser
  2. Planner
  3. Trouble-shooter, 
  4. Communicator
  5. Multi-tasker!”

“What I enjoy most about my role” Sinéad goes on to say, “is building positive relationships with schools and hirers.”

Sinéad is often the first point of contact for new and existing hirers, available to answer enquiries and show potential hirers around the venues they’re interested in. 

An invaluable member of the team, we’d like to thank Sinéad for her exceptional commitment to her role.
